The Workshop PDX is a creative third space curated for Us by Us. By "Us" we mean creatives who are Black, Brown, and Indigenous, Youth, LGBTQIA+, Differently Abled, Neurodivergent, and Housless. Our mission is to ensure we provide a safe space where all are welcomed, respected, and loved.

We love having a safe space for us. We know that beautiful art is cultivated in safe spaces. And because we love us, we are protective of us and our space. Please be mindful that every artist demands the right to privacy and love in our space. Outside of a special event, this is a creative 3rd space and not a gallery or art retail space. So be mindful and show love if you visit us.

The Workshop PDX is an eclectic collective of artists from all journeys of life who create and share art. Founded by artist Andru Morgan in 2025, The Workshop was created in response to the call to bring more authentic Black culture to Downtown Portland. Morgan, an abstract artist, Documentary filmmaker, Podcast producer, and storyteller, welcomes all who need a place to create.
Check out how you can help The Workshop PDX build a solid future in downtown PDX.
Remember, The Workshop PDX is a creative 3rd Space for US! The US is for those of us on the margins of society who have been othered. This is a safe space. Please join us if you need a safe space to create.
